1. ORGANISING AUTHORITY. The Organising Authority for the regatta is the Warnemünder Segel-Club
2. RULES. The Championship will be governed by: - the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) - the rules of the International 505 Class Yacht Racing Association, (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions.) - and by the sailing instructions. - If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will prevail.
3. AMENDMENTS. The Organising Authority reserves the right to revise this notice of race until 1st may 2005.
4. ADVERTISING. The regatta will be classified as a Category C Event in accordance with ISAF regulation 20 and the Prescriptions of the SSF. Competing boats may be required to display advertising of the Event Sponsor.
5. ELIGIBILITY. Competitors shall meet the requirements of ISAF regulation 19, and both competitors in ech boat shall be members of the International 505 Class Yacht Racing Association and have paid the entry fee for the regatta. Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance. Each boat must provide the Organizing Authority with a certificate of that insurance. The Organising Authority will not stipulate a maximum number of entries.
6. ENTRIES. Entries, together with full payment of entry fees, shall arrive to the address shown on the Entry Form, before June 1, 2005. The Entry fee is as follows: Before the 1st of June 300 €¤per boat Late Entry : 2nd June to 20st July 400 €¤per boat Competitors both under 21,or unemployed, or student 250 €¤per boat This includes entry for both regattas, and also entry to all social events.
Social events for companion : Grand 505 Ball 30,00 Euro per person (children admitted price) sightseeing tour to Berlin 15,00 Euro per person (children admitted price)
The receipt has to be shown on entry. It has to include information about sail number and name of the helmsman. 8. REGISTRATION Registration will take place at the Race Office, Yachthafen Warnemünde.
9. EQUIPMENT INSPECTION Equipment inspection will take place at the Clubhouse area.
A valid International 505 Class measurement certificate shall be present for each boat. No more than two suits of sails and two sets of spares may be presented for Equipment inspection. Boats may be subject to further inspections during the regattas.
10. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS A printed copy of the sailing instructions for each championship will be available upon registration at Warnemünder Segel-Club.
11. COURSES The courses will be detailed in the sailing instructions. Gate start will be used except in extreme circumstances.
12. SCORING The Low Point scoring system, Appendix A of the RRS will apply. A minimum of three races shall be completed to constitute the World Championship.
13. JURY. An International Jury will be constituted for the World Championship in accordance with Appendix N of the RRS and the decisions of the Jury will be final in accordance with RRS 70.4. The right of appeal is denied.
14. PRIZES Prizes will be awarded for the World Championship as follows: - The top ten Crews overall - The first female team - The first mixed team - The first youth team, both under 25 years age (July 1, 2005) - First boat overall with no discards. - Last boat overall, which finished all heats. - "Daily first prize" to the heat-winners will be presented every day.
15. ACCOMMODATION Important: as it is high season please make your bookings early! 17. Liability Competitors will sail at their own risk. The Organising Authority and all parties involved in the regatta organisation do not accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury which may occur to person or property, both ashore and afloat, as a consequence of participation in the Championship.
